UAE Experts Program Launches Artificial Intelligence Track and Begins Accepting Applications at the End of January 2026
The UAE Experts Program announced the opening of applications for the new Artificial Intelligence track, starting January 29, 2026, in a new step aimed at attracting and qualifying Emirati talent working in one of the most impactful fields for the future of the economy and sustainable development.
The launch of this track comes within the program's vision to prepare specialized national leaders in future sectors, in alignment with the National Artificial Intelligence Strategy 2031, which seeks to consolidate the UAE's position as a leading global hub in AI technologies.
A New Track Within a National System for Building Future Leaders
According to an official statement issued by the program, the AI track is considered a qualitative addition to the program's six tracks, building on the accumulated experience that the "UAE Experts Program" has achieved since its launch in 2019 in developing national human capital.
The new track aims to enable participants to acquire advanced knowledge, applied skills, and leadership capabilities that allow them to harness AI in addressing national and institutional challenges, and to translate policies and strategies into practical, actionable solutions.
Track Launched Under Leadership Patronage, First Cohort Starting in May
The AI track was officially launched under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, during the graduation ceremony of the second and third cohorts of the UAE Experts Program last October.
The first cohort of this track is scheduled to begin in May 2026, following the completion of application and selection procedures, according to a precise timeline designed to attract the best national talent.
Full Alignment with the Artificial Intelligence Strategy 2031
The AI track is anchored in supporting the pillars of the National Artificial Intelligence Strategy 2031, which focuses on:

The track includes benefiting from international expertise and global centers of excellence in the field of AI, as well as organizing external study visits aligned with participants' specializations, with the aim of transferring global knowledge and localizing it to serve the country's priorities.
