
Russia's Federal Security Service announced today that a plot by the US National Security Agency has been uncovered,
in which previously unknown malware was used to exploit security vulnerabilities in Apple phones.
The security agency, which is considered the main successor to the Russian State Security Committee,
which was active during the Soviet era, stated that several thousand iPhone devices were affected by this malware, including phones used by users in Russia.
