Google Launches Nano Banana 2 for Image Generation in Arab Countries via Gemini and Search

Google has officially announced the availability of its new image generation model Nano Banana 2 in Arab countries, with the ability to use it through the Google Gemini application on the web and smartphones, in addition to integrating it within Google Search via "Google Lens" and the "AI Mode" feature, according to a press release issued by the company.

Higher Speed and a Smoother Experience

Google classifies the new model under the Flash category, which focuses on fast performance, noting that Nano Banana 2 provides faster image generation with the ability to edit results and reproduce them easily within the same workflow. The company also clarified that some features that were exclusive to paid-tier subscribers are now available to a wider segment of users.

Integration of Knowledge and Direct Search

The model relies on Gemini's own knowledge base alongside the use of recent data and images from web searches, with the aim of delivering more accurate results when generating images for specific topics or real-world concepts.

Clearer Text Inside Images and Built-In Translation

Among the improvements that Google focused on is support for writing clear, readable text inside images, which serves marketing use cases as well as card and post design. The model also allows translating text embedded within an image into different languages, to facilitate sharing content across multiple markets.

Consistency in Characters and Elements

Nano Banana 2 provides a feature for maintaining facial likeness for up to five characters within a single image series, with the ability to manage details of up to 14 elements in the same scene, which reduces variation between outputs when creating visually cohesive content.

Resolution Up to 4K and Full Dimension Control

The model supports resolution options starting from 512 pixels up to 4K, with the ability to adjust aspect ratios according to usage needs, whether for social media posts, screen wallpapers, or promotional materials. Google also pointed to improvements in lighting and detail sharpness while maintaining performance speed.

Availability for Users and Developers

Nano Banana 2 has officially begun rolling out via Google Gemini (website and app), as well as through Google Search via Google Lens and the AI Mode feature.
As for developers, they can try the model in preview version via AI Studio and through the Gemini API.

Google is considered one of the world's most prominent technology companies, developing a wide range of digital products and services, including the Google search engine, the Gemini platform, and AI tools dedicated to developers.
