On Thursday, the Ministry of Interior in Kuwait announced the conditions for family reunification in 2024. This announcement came following a decision by Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Acting Minister of Interior, to open the reception of family reunification applications at all residency affairs departments across the country, starting from the upcoming Sunday.
In this report, we will publish the conditions for family reunification in Kuwait for 2024, following the Kuwaiti government's decision to open family reunification applications, as announced by Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Acting Minister of Interior.
On Thursday, January 25, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior revealed the conditions for family reunification in the country, which included the following:
The minimum salary of the sponsor must be 800 Kuwaiti dinars.
The applicant must hold a university degree.
The applicant's profession must be consistent with their specialization in the country.

To apply for family reunification in Kuwait under the new conditions, the following documents and information must be submitted:
1. The appropriate entry visa application form.
2. A copy of the passport of the person being sponsored, and the passport must be valid for no less than two years.
3. A copy of the civil ID of the sponsor.
4. Proof of family relationship; a passport copy can be used for Arab nationalities, while a certificate from the embassy must be obtained for foreign nationalities.
5. A copy of the work permit to verify the salary requirement for private sector employees, or a salary certificate for government sector employees.
6. For holders of Article 19, a copy of the license or company contract must be submitted.
7. For holders of Article 24, the competency is assessed by the Director General or the Deputy Director General only.
According to Ministerial Decision No. 1212/2004, the salary must not be less than 450 Kuwaiti dinars for family reunification, however there are exceptions for certain specified categories (15 professions) in accordance with Ministerial Decision No. 3384/2016.
